No, the Mayor of London has launched a campaign with SIA and Woodsure, to ensure awareness and encourage Londoners who currently use an open fire to switch to a cleaner, ecodesign-ready wood-burning stove, and use the best wood possible.
According to statistics 70% of the wood burnt in London is by open fires.
Damp or poor quality unseasoned wood smokes more; creating more wood particles in the atmosphere.
