The beauty of cooking on a Penguin is that the oven temperature can reach up to 300 degrees C but will tick over comfortably at between 140-180 degrees C. There is even room on the hot plate to fit a small saucepan and kettle.

To achieve lower emissions The High & Mighty Penguin (tall order) Eco uses a combination of three features:
- New clean burn features to achieve lower emissions and over 80% efficiency
- Secondary heat retaining glazing - so the fire box stays hotter
- Re-designed combustion air nozzles - diffuses the incoming oxygen, allowing for a more complete combustion
- Air flow diversion has been introduced
- All of the tall order stoves come with two removable cooking shelves
- Convection side panels for extra width - means a bigger top plate creating more space for cooking, and even boiling a kettle
- Stainless steel oven bottom trivet, to put cooking dishes on
- Vent hole at the rear of the oven box which allows cooking smells to escape up the flue
