Ecodesign Ready Stoves

Ecodesign is the European-wide programme to lower emissions. From 1st January 2022 this came into effect and became law for all manufacturers making stoves to be Ecodesign compliant.

By lowering emissions to an absolute minimum, environmentally-conscious stove manufacturers produced innovative designs to create the cleanest burning stoves; featuring high efficiency combustion systems, the stoves now use 70% less logs than an open fire and 20% less than a standard stove to heat the home.

The Particulate Matter (PM) emissions limit for Ecodesign is 55% lower than for DEFRA exempt stoves.

Ecodesign Ready stoves support the Government’s Clean Air Strategy, their advanced technology exceeds the 2022 air quality and efficiency targets.
