Introducing Coffee Logs - Eco Briquettes Made From Waste Coffee Grounds

Amazing news, Westcombes has taken delivery of eco-conscious Coffee Logs

We are very excited to be introducing a new unique sustainable biofuel in our showroom and on our website, especially when there is so much media coverage about burning un eco-conscious fuels.

The Coffee Logs are available for immediate purchase as an alternative to conventional fossil fuels; and can be locally delivered if ordering 8 bags or more.

The Coffee Logs are packaged compact recycled bags, containing 16 logs and weighs approx. 8kg. Ideal for stacking in small confined and limited spaces.

Coffee Logs are eco briquettes ideal for woodburners, stoves and open fires (not in open fires in Smoked Control Zones), made from recycling thousands of tonnes of waste coffee grounds, collected from coffee shops around the UK.

Fascinating facts:

  • each eco briquette generates 80% less emissions than if those grounds had gone to landfill
  • contains the grounds of 25 cups of coffee - that's 400 in each bag!
  • burns 20% hotter and longer than kiln-dried wood - due to their higher calorific value and low humidity content
  • the Coffee Logs burn best when undisturbed and can be used instead of or alongside wood and other solid fuels
  • recycling coffee helps reduce greenhouse gases, diverts waste away from costly landfill and gives your daily cuppucino a useful second life
  • British made
